On January 23rd, Samantha gave a stellar performance as Mary Stuart in the California Artist's Radio Theatre presentation of "Mary, Queen of Scots." Here's what Roger Grace, an editor with the Metropolitan News had to say about Samantha:
"What a gripping performance! Samantha Eggar's rebuking of the queen was astoundingly powerful, her closing monologue so gentle and moving. It was acting at its zenith. Her talents are constantly impressive in the various roles she plays."
An audio copy of the entire performance will soon be available through www.CARTaudio.org.

On January 12th, Random House released Melanie Benjamin's novel "Alice I Have Been," along with the unabridged audiobook read by Samantha. The book is a captivating blend of fact and fiction regarding the life of Alice Liddell, the 'Alice' who inspired Lewis Carroll's classic "Alice in Wonderland."

(An interesting side note: Tim Burton's action-fantasy film "Alice in Wonderland," starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, is scheduled to be released on Samantha's birthday, March 5th. Samantha played a supporting role in Depp's movie "The Astronaut's Wife" in 1999.)

Samantha's audiobook reading of Melanie Benjamin's novel can be purchased through www.randomhouse.com.
